How We Got Here
Six Mile started in 2023 in Oliver's Belle Sherman neighborhood with a single soft-wash machine, a trailer pulled behind his truck, and one neighbor willing to give a firefighter-owned startup a shot.
Oliver is still an active Ithaca firefighter, and that background shapes how our crew works: calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and always accountable. When a job needs to be done right, we don't cut corners.
Three years later, we've grown into a crew of eight running two fully equipped rigs, with manufacturer-approved soft washing now reaching five markets across the Finger Lakes. While we now run service days stretching from Skaneateles down to Watkins Glen, we remain a hands-on local business that proudly stands behind our work with a 3-year roof cleaning warranty. Ithaca is, and always will be, home.

Oliver
Founder — Six Mile Exterior Cleaning Solutions
Oliver grew up in Croatia and then Rome, NY, where he began his career as a volunteer at the local fire department. He moved to Ithaca five years ago and subsequently joined the Ithaca Fire Department. Oliver started Six Mile in 2023 out of his Belle Sherman neighborhood in Ithaca with a single soft-wash machine and a truck. When he isn't leading the crew or responding to community emergencies, he enjoys relaxing at home with his partner, a local nurse, and their cat, Tiger Lily (affectionately known as Mittens). Oliver brings that same professional discipline, precision, and firefighter's care to every exterior cleaning job.
Keven
Crew Boss & Sales
An Ithaca High School graduate who now lives in Trumansburg, Keven joined the team last year. He leads our field operations with a strong focus on team leadership and clear communication, handling the estimates that keep our schedule running seamlessly. As an active Ithaca firefighter, Keven brings a deeply rooted sense of trust, reliability, and calm under pressure to every job, ensuring our values and quality standards are upheld on every property we visit.
Branden
Lead Technician
Born and raised in Ithaca, Branden serves as our Lead Technician and sets the quality bar on our most demanding soft-washing jobs. He brings over a decade of community dedication as a volunteer firefighter for the Enfield Fire Department. Branden's sharp mechanical mindset and passion for building cars and trucks translate perfectly into maintaining our advanced cleaning rigs and keeping operations running smoothly.
Ethan
Field Technician
Ethan hails from Trumansburg and returned to the Finger Lakes region after graduating from St. John Fisher University, where he majored in Business Management and played varsity baseball for four years. A highly dependable technician, Ethan grew up helping his father with landscaping and outdoor work. When he isn't delivering pristine house and roof washes, he loves spending his time out on Cayuga Lake.
Jake
Field Technician
Jake is a Brooktondale native and an Ithaca High School graduate who went on to study at TC3. He brings a strong work ethic and a commitment to service to the team, which is clear from his role as a volunteer firefighter at the Brooktondale Fire Department, where you can often find him cooking breakfast and supporting community events. In his free time, Jake enjoys golfing, walking his dog, and following the NBA and NFL.
Taylor
Field Technician
Taylor rounds out our field crew with a detail-first, deeply customer-centric approach. Growing up in Brooktondale on a 7th-generation family farm, he learned the true value of hard work early on. An Ithaca High School graduate, Taylor has worked in various hands-on roles, including running his own business. This year, he brought his sharp mechanical talents to the team and now takes pride in meticulously cleaning everything from historic homes to lakefront properties. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and exploring local nature.
